Ps3 Wont Load Discs

My problem is that my PS3 no longer plays my games or any other type of disc
when I insert the game disc into the system the icon for the game does not show. the only items that show are the 'game data' utility and the 'saved data' utility. I restored the ps3 to default settings but that didn't seem to fix the problem at all.

You will have to clean your laser which is inside the PS3. Google it on how to do it or take it to a shop. That usually fixes the problem.

wipe the disc with some type of metal polish. I looked it up, and tried it. One of my 360 games didn't work so i put some chrome polish on it and wiped it off, works perfectly now
