PS3 & Wirless Belkin G Router

My buddy just bought a used Belkin Wireless G Router from my buddy at work, He wants me to help him set it up I dont know exactly how to set it up, or what the routers setting webpage is, I have heard it is common to get a DNS error with this router particularly, I am wanting to know if any of you computer geeks have the similar setup, Joe, I know you have your ps3, not sure how you have it ran and what not, but looking for answers as to if,I am going to need software, (I dont have it) however it did come with it when he bought it, he lost it, but it is downloadable from Belkin website, I am just curious as to how I can run this with no issues, tips, settings, hints, and tricks anything to make it easier, any help appreaciateD!!!!

plug in the power for the router

connect the phone line cord

connect the ethernet cable to the computer from the router

hold the reset button for a second and release

wait 30 seconds

open internet explorer

type in the adress bar:

192.168.2.1

this is the default ip address for the router

if this does not work try it a few more times

if you can't get the internet on the computer - go to the network option on the PS3 cross media bar

go to internet connection or something and choose wireless

have the ps3 close to the router to establish a good link

tell it to scan for the network

it should do everything else automatically from there

this set up was if the router will be connected to the computer using an ethernet cable or sometimes called an rj45 cable (i think), and the ps3 will be connected wirelessly!
