ps3 pirates?

Since the ps3 will have a hdd will it have the same problem as the xbox with game copying? I heard many ppl copied their friends or rented games onto the xbox and played them off their xbox without mods.

It depends on how advanced their copy protection is. It will probably be possible, but depending on how advanced will determine on how long it will take.
