Ps3 Divx Problems

I seem to be having a problem with my PS3. With the release of the new system update you can now play most Divx files but i cant seem to play all of the divx videos i want to. The PS3 recognizes the video i want to play as a Divx file but when I go to play it it says its unsupported. Is there any kind of video conversion program out there that can make the video file compatible with the PS3 without changing it to avc or any other format.

I Think the PS3 is limited to What DIVX it plays..

ill Need "TheEnd" to confirm on this or anyone else

are you trying to play DivX or XviD files? i think it plays any divx file up to DivX 5,also the whole vid has to be properly encoded for it too work, andit cant be over 2GB. I have tried al the movies i dl and they have all worked, most users say they have probs with naruto,but that s because the encoder they used sucked.
