PS2 backup on DVD+R/+RW

I recently bought a HP DVD writer 300e.
Would anyone know which media I need to use to be able to burn a backup copy of my Nightfire game?
Would a DVD+R work, or do I need to use a DVD+RW ?
ANy suggestions welcome!

How did you burn the ps2 dvd games with HP i've tried lots of programs and nothing has worked
