Alchohol 120% might do what your looking for. It can create a virtual drive and you can run an .iso file right off it without having to burn it.

Lightbulb Burning PS1 Games Right

In order to burn ps1 games correctly use a program such as iso producer in combination with nero 6 ultra edition on a Black,Blue or pink CDR. There is no need for a mod chip with the correct emulator for the ps1 Personally I use ePSXe to play the ISO's I create.
