PS1 - boots to CD/Memory card?

Goobieman Newb Techie Join Date: Feb 2004 Posts: 1	PS1 - boots to CD/Memory card? Howdy. The kids tried to start their PS1, and it wont go. The screen is flled with grey squares, and it asks if you want go to memory card or CD. It will then let you go to either screen to do whatever it is you do there. But it wont play the games. Any ideas? Is the console shot?
