Question PS1 Backups...

i have tried and failed many times to burn a ps1 game. through trial, 700mb (80min) cd-r's are not readable by PSones. i have bought some 650mb disks, and i need correct steps to sucessfully burning a ps1 game. i dont use mod-chips, i just use the swap trick (use a paper clip to hold down switch, boot up a real game, switch with burnt once the game has booted.)

i dont know if i need to just make exact copies, apply a patch, or whatever. what are the (if there are even any) 100% sure working steps? thanx a lot

you can get the psxchangw disk or a game inhancer nosolder mod , unless you can solder then you can get the stealth no swap chip . you can swap with an origonal but its a pain and only works 1 out of 5 tryes .

if you keep searching the older posts from this forum you will find the answers to your questions.

yes, there are no-soldier modchip options for retired playstation. or just purchase a normall chip; back when i bought mine, the chip came w/a floppy which had a close up pic of all soldier points.

you can use any recording application to copy the discs to 74min cdr; if they dont work... FLIP THE PLAYSTATION UPSIDE DOWN and try again.
