PlayStation 3 Shootings

As absolutely crazy as it may sound, there have actually been a few robberies at gunpoint and shootings involving the PS3 so far today and the console has only been on sale for 8 hours. Anyhow, regardless what you are shopping for, just be careful when you are out and about during the holidays.

The two armed hooded gunmen walked into the GameStop store at 7717 Laguna Blvd. around 10:20 a.m. Thursday and demanded employees turn over the gaming systems, according to Elk Grove Police spokesman Chris Trim. Trim said the robbers took four of the consoles and four XBox 360 systems before making their escape.

I saw where some people in Louisville, KY were getting pelted with BB's from cars passing by while waiting in line. That musta sucked. People are crazy these days.

People want it because it's in demand. The same thing happened when the 360 came out. It'll die down in a couple of months or whenever the next batch of consoles is released.
