is nintendo wii HD ready? and also it it just a dvd drive or blueray or HD-DVD

No, the Wii does not support HD. It does not have HD-DVD or Blu-ray... and it doesn't play DVD's.... it only plays Wii and Gamecube games (well and virtual console games too).

yes it can play DVD's you just need an attachment

lol i dont think in 2007 matey.. theres a attachment for the console something like the xbox dvd attachment

Doesn't sound like there will be an upgrade accessory... or a firmware/software solution.

To me it sounds like the only way to get a Wii to play DVD's is to buy one that has that capability when they are released in 2007.

The best thing i can provide is that they bring a upgrade on CD so that you can install it maybe in a couple of months time
