| Pardon my ignorance but I am not a game console player but my son is. He has recently gotten a Wii and he is working to earn Mario Party 8. I want to get him more controllers for his system at Christmas but they are a bit expensive, especially the remote. What controllers will work with this game and does anyone know if the GameCube controllers will do? How about the Wii Classic? Thanks ahead of time for your help. |

| Thanks, I'll look for those bundles. But what I was asking was does anyone know if the old GameCube controllers will work with this Wii game or do I need to get the new classic Wii controllers in order to play Mario Party 8. |

| Future ex-member | The Wii has ports for the gamecube controllers. You just need to check and see if the games you will play can support them.

| Junior Techie | Well instead of people telling you to just check, I decided to find out for myself :P Mario Party 8 does require both the Wiimote and the Nunchuck for the full experience. From IGN IGN: Mario Party 8 Review
