Xbox360 Firmware Mod

I have seen these popping up and it says this will allow me to play all my xbox games on my xbox 360 which i would like to do. I was wondering when i go on xbox live what will happen if i have a regular xbox360 game in it. Will it ban my account or what?
I have also read the instructions on how to do it and it sounds like i would need someone to walk me threw it because i have a pen drive but i dont know how ot use it. lol.
Please help me out here.
And if u have done and would like to walk me threw it on AOL instant messenger i would greatly appreciate it.
