Default XBox live

Hello,

I recently got an XBox 360 and I want to wire it up for Xbox Live. The room the Xbox is in is far away from my wireless-G router so I bought a wireless-N(not yet hooked up). The real question is would it be possible to hook up the wireless-G to my 360 to use as a wireless signal receiver rather than buying a separate device (the official Xbox wireless signal receiver)?

You don't need to use the official Xbox wireless adapter, as long as the one you bought, is able to receive a wireless signal.

So you can buy any wireless adapter(USB) and it will work? such as this one for an example Belkin F5D7050UK at PC World - Buy cheap Wireless Network Cards - Belkin F5D7050UK Wireless 54G Usb Networking Adapter

A usb one will not work, a wired ethernet bridge or router will. If you want to use a wireless adapter you would have to go with the ms one.
