Default xbox connect

i have a problem at the moment. im trying to run xbox conecct and it wont work. im running a usb cable to the ocmputer and modem and an ethernet cable to the modem and xbox (the modem has 2 ports) and the xbox knows its a network game but only says i can create and there is no option to join one. Meanwhile xbc consistently looks for the xbox but never finds it. ANY HELP?

You can't connect an Xbox to a computer, you need to FTP somehow and the box has to have a new dashboard.

no, you can connect it to a computer via 2 programs. One is called gamespy arcade, and the other... well, can't remember exactly but I think its called gamespy arcade tunnel. Essentially it uses your computer as a server and you can play xbox online (note: not on LIVE, but online) with other people using this software. Not nearly as fast as live, but is there.
