| I think a ps2 emulator would be quite possible to produce on an XBox, though you would probably only be able to download the iso images onto the hard-drive to play, as I don't think there are any mod chips out for the XBox yet, plus the structure and format of the ps2 dvd and XBox dvds would be different. |

The technology might not exist for "cross" emulating consoles, but then again, it might exist. But what manufacturer wants to give up marketshare (their profits) to allow someone to develop such a machine/device? Ever heard of cars getting 150 miles per gallon? If you haven't, the technology is there. If you have, why can't you buy that equipment or a new car with that as standard equipment? Same thing with computers. ![]()

| I have heard of about a company called 'Disis Alye' who have been able to harness the power of the XBOX to play PS2 games!!! Don't know if my legs being pulled, but apparently, a copy of Gran Turismo A-Spec was running perfectly on it (No improvements unfortunately!) Now thats got to give you a little smile!!! ![]() |

| Hey Paradox! Seems like u are a very perceptive person. I found the article in 'Foul Magazine'. **** - I was so lookin forward to the source code bein posted on to the net! Looks like we might have to wait for the new generation of consoles to appear before we might get an emulator which could do this. I still think its possible though............ Thanks for the breakdown! ![]() |

| Admin | This thread has been reincarnated! There's a new site, called Dabig Gistli, that is selling a CD that when played in either a PS2 or xBox will make it compatable with the other. But I'm sure that when xBox buys Sony that they'll make it cross compatable! Dave Disclaimer: Be careful of walking. The floor is now covered with total bull!
