Updated look at the PS3

Not incredibly surprising, but this article definitely puts some perspective back on what to actually expect out of the PS3.

why is a ps3 in the xbox section? shouldnt it be in the Ps/PS2/psp section? well, whatever. i dont like the controlers

The ps3 will be nothing amazing. Sony tried selling the design specs to the cell processor to steve jobs, and he turned it down saying it was poorly designed. Plus you have all the sony fan boys saying its gunna look so much better than the 360. You need to have a 1080P tv to get the best graphics out of it. 1080p isnt even widely used nor is it going to be any better than a 1080i tv. The human eye probably wont even be able to tell the difference. Also, they are using this hyped "bluray" disc. No movie or game will ever use that much data. That disc has the ability of like 50 gigs or something. The 360 still is using the dvd9 discs because 99% of the original xbox game never made it past the 5 gig mark. One maybe broke the barier into needing the dual layer disc storage ability but not by much. There is still half the dual layer disc storage capability that isnt used. If you ask me, they are putting all their eggs into one basket and setting themselves up for failure.

And if steve jobs says its badly designed it must be true! :P

both consoles have power, at the end of the day its the games that count.

i hate what they did with the controllers they look kind of like a boomerang or something. Im just not sure which system is gonna have the better graphics. My guess is Xbox 360 because of fight night and PGR3.
