| Hey guys, this is my post on the forums so i'm sorry if it's in the wrong section. Basically i'm getting a HD ready LCD TV for Christmas, mainly for xbox 360. Now i'm terrible with technology( i ordered a PCI-E card when i needed AGP last year, so im gonna be scared when i buy a completely new comp next summer) so it's taken me ages to figure out what all the specs mean with each tv. I know it needs 16:9 for wide screen I know 8ms is ok but a smaller number would be better I THINK( help possibly) that all HD ready Tvs support my xbox 360 HD AV component cable Now i have one other problem.... A few of the newer Xbox 360 titles need to be played in PAL-60 for them to work. My old TV is 50hz so it says they don't play. When i go into the xbox 360 menu and manually change it to PAL-60, it works but i get white lines at the top of my screen. My problem is that most of the TVs i find either say 50hz or just don't mention it at all. Some forums I've looked at suggest that even if it says 50hz, it can do PAL-60 as well as PAL-50, but i need to be certain. So can someone tell me, does it have to say 60hz for it to display PAL-60, my 50hz Tv does but with lines, but like i said some say they don't get lines at all. Argh I'm sorry for it being so confusing, i need to order this TV tomorrow really so I'm stressing out about it. I'm trying to find a 22-26" HD ready wide screen LCD TV that's going to play my 360 properly. It kinda needs to be in the range of £200-300.( 400-600$). I have found a few on ebay and other places, a 23" and a26" LG caught my eye, but they doesn't mention the hz at all. Also, with the 23" one, it's ratio is 15:9, is that just because of it's odd number or is it not really wide screen as it claims. |
