Is it possible to get halo 3 beta without crackdown? i want the beta, but not stupid crackdown. Did anyone buy the Halo 3 beta for the free crackdown? LOL

crackdown is actually a really cool game
and no there isnt any other way, its only for people who bought crackdown or who signed up for it a long *** time ago

Just borrow crackdown of a friend and download the beta.

i bought crackdown soley for the beta, and came to find out it was a decent game. And you have to have crackdown up in order to play.

So im thinking of doing the whole...
Buy crackdown from EB games, install halo 3, return it within 7 days, get my money back... RUN! will that work? or do you have a unique code or something that can only be used once?

you have to use the crackdown disk to play the beta

no, you'll need gold to play any kind of online multiplayer on xbox 360
