Halo 2 Xbox 360 /PC Lan

I know Halo 2 for PC can play online with Halo 2 for xbox online through xbox live. But can my friend plug his 360 into my pc network and can we halo 2 lan with him on his 360 and me on pc?

Or can we only play through the internet and not lan?

halo 2 is not cross platform you cannot play with xbox players if you own it for pc

It is cross platform online, Im just curios if it can be cross platform on a lan level too?

its not cross platform at all
the only game that is out right now that is cross platform is shadowrun
you can access your buddy lists and talk to your friends on the xbox but you cannot play them

I can't believe how many people actually think it is a cross platform game. Halo 2 for PC cannot cross platform with xbox's
