well its been anounced gears 2 is on its way and its comming november

Xbox.com | Xbox.com | Gears of War II

i would think it would be the 11th again for the release date

and the thing i would ask is when is it comming to pc

who cares bout PC, 3rd person shooters are SOOOOOO much better on consoles, unless you can be bothered getting a 360 controller for your computer.

cant wait for it, it'll be awesome =D

i care about the pc

mainly due to the fact of me not having a 360

i hope it comes to the pc with some extra levels like the first one

It probably will, thats generally what happens with 360 games. And from my experience, Gears of War Handled the same, if not better in some areas than its 360 counterpart.

I never really cared for Gears Of War. I used to have an Xbox but I sold it on eBay, one month later the buyer contacted be and said it stopped working. Man am I glad I got rid of it.

Why? If the story line was stronger I probably would consider it having potential to be a top franchise in my book. I thought the single player/ multiplayer-co-op to be done to near perfection. The versus multiplayer was very generic and bland though, so if you are big multiplayer guy I will agree with you on that.

IMO the multiplayer is the best part of the game!

The multiplayer is about as bland and generic as it could possibly get. It ends up turning into shotgun/chainsaw battles with some mixed bomb tagging for every map -- no matter what game mode or map is being played.

I prefer multiplayer games like socom, or *gulp* even halo. There's just more variety for the long run. I enjoyed gears multiplayer for the first day or two, but after that there is no reason to play cause every match ends up being the same.

And the only reason I don't see someone liking the single player part of GOW is if they generally don't like single player to begin with. It was done very well, I enjoyed the fresh gameplay mechanics it brought to the table unlike most games that come out nowadays.

i have to sort of disagree with everyone (even myself)

i loved the single player campaign, the games engine seen to everything i liked the chainsaw and snipe though the entire game

after i completed the campaign i went on the multiplayer, true it does get bland but i have had some great fun on it also

i'm just looking forward to gears of war 2 just because of the campaign mode but if they make it so multiplayer is cross platform (as in vista vs xbox 360) then i would love that to

now i'm just hoping that it comes to the pc fast because i'm F***** if i'm getting a 360 again, but enough with the fanboish dribble
