Default Forza 2 - Damage Help

Ive just downloaded the Forza 2 demo, its fantastic, crashes are amazing but it seems they have turned off car damage, and have only left cosmetic damage on.

Is this true ??, or can you turn on real car damage in the menu , because i cant find it.

I really liked this demo, but I was disappointed that there was no in-car view. The bonnet view isn't quite the same.
