disc problem

ok i have a soft modded xbox and a pc. i got the game project gotham racing 2. now it appears that the disc is scratched and the xbox isn't reading it. is there any way to get the game to work besides buying one of those disc repair things.

i think that if you take some sunglass cleaner and wipe down the disk with that it might work. i heard that that takes off scratches

Ive used the really grainy colgate toothpaste b4. Leave a thin layer on it all night then wipe it off with a soft towel in the morning.
