Default 360 HDTV Video Problem - Help!

Hey guys, I'm really sorry if this is a dumb question or is covered somewhere else in the forums, but I've searched and searched and can't find anything related to my problem - thanks in advance...

I am currently playing Rainbow 6 on my 360 - which I've got hooked up to my LG30FS4D 30" Slim CRT. I've had only very minimal problems with 'common' issues related to the tv (geometry issues, color splotches, etc), but yesterday while playing in a dark area of the game, I noticed a fairly distinct vertical line moving horizontally across my screen that noticably affects (washes out slightly) the colors as it passes. I've never noticed it before, but it also does it on Call of Duty 3, but not as noticably. I was running my 360 at 1080i at the time, and I switched it to 720p after trying to diagnose my problem online and reading that it should be on 720p anywayfor my size tv. After the switch, however, the vertical horizontally moving line has become two horizontal vertically moving lines that do not affect the color nearly as much, but are still apparent and distracting now that I know they're there. I can't find them when I watch tv, only when the 360 is on. I even put an HD DVD in my 360 add-on and checked the video there only to encounter the same phenomenon. Any ideas?

I should also mention that a few days ago while also playing R6 I began experiencing heavy blue artifacting in shadowy areas which my roomate informed me was likely my xbox's video card overheating. I powered off and repositioned it so that it had more air flow around it and the problem instantly went away with the next power on. Any way I damaged my video card? Would a damaged video card exhibit this behavior? Thanks again guys!

I'll have to check for the exact date when I get home later today, but I bought the thing at BB last June if that helps.
