Default Wireless gameing...

Does anyone use a wireless router for the internet between 2 or more pc's. I have 3 pc's one set up in my brother in laws room and the other 2 in my office. My issue is I need to move my pc out to the living room and the others need to stay put. I really only use my pc for gaming, same for my bro, the 3rd is just a spare pc people us to play on. I am needing to move mine like 20 or 30 ft or so. I dont want to loose the ability to play games so is it even worth it for me to look into?

Thanks,
Dave

as long as you still get decent signal, you'll be fine

Wireless signal really seems to degrade the farther you get from the router. It really helps if you have very few walls between you and the router. A direct line-of-sight is the best, but most of the time, thats not possible. Just make sure you have good signal and you'll be fine, but in all actuality, nothing is better than hardwire for gaming.

Good affordable wireless routers include Netgear and Linksys ones.

get linksys

i haven't heard a lot of good things about netgear, and i wouldn't recommend my D-link either

oor you can call the cable company (or dsl) and ask them if they can wire into your room as well
