Looking for a strategy game that me and my friend could play online. However I need one that would let us save so that we could continue a game later. Looking for this because 1. his connection is terrible and we get disconnected a lot 2. RTS games can take forever and I don't want to be playing the same game for hours on end.

Any one know of a game that does that?

When I used to play Age of Empires 2, we had a save feature.

There should be alot of RTS's that have save features.

Star Trek Armada 2 has one, even though it is not very popular.

Cool I'll check out AOE3. I have AOE2 but never played online.

Is Star Trek Armada any good? I'm a Star Trek fan but my friend isn't. But as long as its good that doesn't matter.

Any other games? Maybe something like Command and Conquer because thats what we use to play.

I think STA2 is a very good game, its in space, so three dimensions of play, and you can choose either 2D or 3D mode to play in. (Though if you want to win 2D is best)

You might have a hard time finding it though, its old.

I wasn't too sure about AoE3, but let me go ahead and co-sign on it anyway.

AoE3 is awesome, and you can make nice custom scenarios on it too.
A custom scenario with friends.. that has to be awesome.

Sins of a solar empire has a online save function , its a fun game just takes awhile for much to happen not worth getting if you want to play single player as it has none just a skirmish mode.
