Default Steam update

Now, I am not sure about this. When you install Steam for the first time does do a update once, or multiple times?

ok. Just checking, I was never sure if it was something wrong on my end or not.

Either way it is a pain for me to get it going again once I reformat.

Once I reformat I install STEAM and then go to my games, install CSS and DDS at the same time. I let it run overnight and its ready to play the next day... Takes a long time to install...

ya, my fancy (sarcasm) satteltie internet does not run well with steam. It will go through a update once or twice then stop and I have to open steam again. after about 2 days of this I try to update my games (luckily I have them on disc) and I spend about a week trying to nurse the download along.... ugh.
