| Re: StarCraft II LAN Once we hook up it runs just fine. We play off of the east coast server.
With that said no LAN option is a sin. SC is one of my all time favorite LAN games.

It will be hacked almost immediately to have LAN play anyway. | Yeah, this is only hurting paying customers.

| Re: StarCraft II LAN Sorry, but a LAN party is not complete for me unless we are playing Star Craft. I think it's real stupid of them to only have online multiplayer mode, and no LAN mode.
If I am playing a game at a LAN party, I wish to host the game locally and play the game locally.
I think I know why Blizzard is doing this. They are trying to tie every one down with Battle.Net Accounts.

| Re: StarCraft II LAN It would probably help if this thread on the vestibule was also kept bumped: IGN Boards - StarCraft II will have NO LAN, sign the petition
That board sees so much traffic.

| Re: StarCraft II LAN It does indeed. It's growing very fast. It's grown by 7000 in under a day. Everyone needs to sign this.. regardless of whether your going to play StarCraft II. People should sign it just for those who do care.
Like i said, pass it on to friends
edit: Blizzards Response to No Lan Support For Starcraft 2
What the heck. KC is right. They just want people with Battle.net accounts. They will NEVER fight the latency. Even super mega servers cannot cope with a lot of players trying to do 4v4 matches. Not just this, they are labelling us all pirates that won't buy the game. No good PC game ever sells badly (Except EA. Noones like EA) If you go and make a good PC game people will go and buy it .
Still, if we get 100K signatures. They will listen

| Re: StarCraft II LAN Though, i don't actually mind. I kinda like battle.net. It's a convenient place to manage my Blizzard games. |

| Re: StarCraft II LAN ^^ Actually I think it will backfire and cause more piracy. Once it is cracked, which it will, more people will be apt to use a pirated version to enable lan playing.
I myself would purchase 2 copies just so I could have an extra license to play at lan parties if that option was available. I purchased 3 copies of the original SC and Brood Wars.
