You don't have to play the first one, however it would help explain the story alittle, plus you get to see some of the same people in the game....however in the manual it explains in a ruff draft what has happened in the first game.

It is definitley a pretty game and has tons of mods for it also...very mod friendly.

If you just like to run and gun, then this will not be your type of game, as it has some RPG aspects to it. You need to upgrade your weapons, eat food, bandage yourself up to stop bleeding....you can't take 10 bullets and still be alive....it is actually a very hard game....I can say that i personally am enjoying it very much.....however it seems that people either love or hate it.

I'll have to give this one a shot again. I played it for about an hour and then got hooked into something else...all these screenies are pulling me back!

I just reinstalled my copy. just as fun as i remember, but still a very hard game, its hard even on easy.

I agree Zmatt....my wife is playing the game on easy and it is still very hard....you really need to find cover when shooting...standing out in the open and having a fire fight just does not cut it in this game.
