same problem w/ my A8V deluxe board.

turns out i had forgotten to install the AGP drivers for the mobo, not just for the video card.

after i installed the VIA chipset drivers...i stopped getting the crashes.

also...in your bios..check to see if the apertures size is set to the same memory size on your video card.

i.e., if your 5600xt has 128mb on it.

then set your AGP aperture to 128mb as well, in your bios.

hope that helps.

what's your psu? if there's not enough power.. this could be why.. also, do you have good air flow? bad air flow will definately make this card overheat, and isn't it a 5600fx?

Cheers guys but the bios is set right and all the drivers are installed, my psu aint that great but have tried with a better one and still same result, i forgot to metion that one of the error messages im getting is tellingme that there is a driver error usally the graphics driver but sometimes its an unknown. Ive re-installed all the drivers and windows so many times now, what do u think about it being a compatabilty problem?
