AMD XP 3200 I suggest you save for AMD 64 3000, and you will need a good graphics card

500 pounds is like $900, right? An Athlon 64 might be a little steep for that price range. I'd say a higher end Athlon XP, 2800-3200 is a lot cheaper and will still net you great performance.

500 pounds will not get a "good" computer that will play the "latest" games... you will need atleast a 1000... but it all depends on what games you are playing... A videocard alone costs between 200-500... then there the mobo.. average around a 100... then a processor... 200-800... sigh... so expensive... But you can get a decent computer for around a thousand... Go with AMD processor though for games... best processor for games without a doubt
