It did before, but I've come across a revelation.. to the point that I've given up on recommending any of the Dual GPU Cards anymore..

Dual-GPU's are just as bad as Crossfire/SLI are, heat issues, Loudness, lousy case airflow because of it..

I think fellow Tech-Forum Hardware Guru's would agree

Yea, I probably wouldn't go SLI ever again. Just too much to deal with and the heat generated from two cards sucks. As far as the X2s go, I've never really heard of them being that great (since the 7800 days). The cost to benefit ratio over single GPU cards just doesn't cut it.

The price of the HD 3870X2 and the 9800GX2 are cheap now, I'll give it that, but its not worth the trouble it comes with.. unless we get extreme cooling

Heat is not an issue with the right coolers.

My akimbos run at 70C and 60C on load....and thats when my room is really hot.

When my room is cool, 65C and 57C.

dual gpu's is a pain in the butt... but i still love em

and 9800gx2 = gtx280 performance in most cases when sli works out... so 9800gx2 > 4870 in my opinion

and recertified on newegg is only 220 dollars
