Default Max payne manuall install?

Ok hi, I've just installed Max payne on my system but the setup freezes at 55% or on miminal install 85%. I have tryed to exstact Data1.cab and Data2.cab to a folder but it says that the file is damaged or unknown file type any way for me to install manualy?

Oh and ill just post my specs incase you need them
IBM Thinkpad T40 series
Pentium M 1.5Ghz
ATI Radeon mobilty 7500
1024x768 LCD Screen 60hz
If i missed any please tell me.

only hint i can really give you is manual is spelt with 1 "l"

that and try burning it into an iso file, and running it off the computer using daemon tools or something
