Default How would I go about getting CS1.6?

Hi Guys,

I believe I'm right in saying that CS 1.6 is still playable over the internet via steam?

I have a retail version of CS on my PC now, as I play over LAN quite a bit, and I'd like to play over the net, now how would I do that? do I need steam? do I need a completely different version?

Can someone simply explain how I would go about playing CS over the net from where I am?

Thanks a lot...

ya you need steam. if you have your cd-key then you're all good to go. just download steam, make an account, and you're pretty much done. once you open steam and go to games, doulbe click on CS, and it'll download it for you.. if you have highspeed it'll go really fast since they have really good connection. just make sure you select that you have high speed, or else it'll download slower. i play 1.6 all the time, can't stop playing fy_poolday. hehe.. but its gonna take some getting used to going from 1.5 to 1.6. lotta ppl don't like it.
