| I want to uninstall a game, specifically Knights of the Old Republic 2. I hired it so I don't have a copy of it on me. When I try to uninstall I get an error and the uninstaller closes. So how can I uninstall a game when this happens? This has actually happened to me before with Oblivion but luckily there was a guide on the net showing how to do it. Do I just delete all the files on my computer then delete any registry entries for Kotor or Lucasarts? |

| Monster Techie | 1. Go to the directory of the install. 2. Manually delete the folder. 3. Download & install CCleaner. 4. Open CCleaner and go to tools section. 5. Highlight the program which you wish to uninstall. 6. Delete entry. |

| Fade is right in that you should try using Add/Remove Programs first. Deleting the folder and such will leave a lot of crap in your registry.

| Then I would even go so far as to search for files, folders that might be in a spot you have not looked... then you might also want to use ccleaner to look for issues (registry keys) that might have been used for the game. |

| Yeah I tried the add/remove programs, that's the first thing I always do but it just runs the same uninstaller as the uninstall shortcut. I'll give ccleaner a go, it will delete any registry entries the game left? |

| Monster Techie | If you manually delete the files, the registry will still have it listed. I personally never used ccleaner, but I believe that works.

| Reinstall windows I kid I kid, but add/remove programs in the control panel is usually the best bet, most programs dont require the disk to uninstall.
