GTA4 PC XBOX 360 control pad vs Keyboard \ mouse

Hi,

How good is GTA4 on PC?? well its awesome!!!!! Anybody playing it using a XBOX 360 controller? Wanting to know if it is worth getting one. Driving with the key board can be a little difficult.

BTW GTA4 loves the loves the Quad 6600, work it!!!!

I am a long time console player and recent PC gamer so I use my xbox controller when I can. I must say this is the first game that I played from console to PC and thought the keyboard was impossible when driving. This game fully supports the xbox controller and much better then any other PC game I have tried the controller with. You do not need to config it or anything.

I was so happy because driving is 10 times better with the controller.

Get it worth it!

Actually the only grip I have about the controller is on Crysis, you cannot crouch, other then that I like it for Crysis but I have used the keyboard so much lately I am really not sure which way to go there.

Any who, I am rambling now....

Dont have it yet, but San Andreas was more enjoyable with the 360 controller.

Keyboard and mouse all the way!!!
You can adjust your own camera angles while you are driving with the mouse, and it's waaay more fluent

Also aiming with a mouse MUST be easier than 360 contoller... unless you use an auto lockon... which is for newbs...

Aiming? You mean for FPS I assume? Honestly it's not easier it's just user preference. I have played console games for 22 years so a controller is much easier for me. However I am getting use to the keyboard now. I have a co-worker who is opposite. Has played PC games all his life and he has no idea how to work the controller for a shooter, he hates it!

I do agree that being able to adjust the camera angle with the mouse is pretty wicked! It does take some getting used to though.

I recently got GTA4 and have the Xbox controller, The controller rules for driving and general use in the game but i can't aim for crap with it, Mouse is way easier in a gunfight for the aiming alone but the controller is so much easier for most of it.

Being mainly a PC gamer (as the only console i have had is the sega mega drive..) I really couldn't imagine trying to aim with a controller instead of the mouse, it hurts my head when i do!
