Default Frontlines Your Opinion

I got my copy of Frontlines Fuel of War a couple of days ago. First off I could not even get the game to work for vista and had to put it on my other computer running XP, although I see they released a patch and hotfix so I have yet to install them to see if it will work. Ok well I was just trying to get your opinions on the gameplay, I am just playing the singleplayer missions right now but to me I feel like I don't have much control in the game and I feel like it is kind of hard to aim. What do you guys who have played the game think?

its a very bad game so far heres a few points:

1. if running vista try going into your BIOS and disabling onboard sound this helped my friend out who had it crashing none stop. Also update to the latest graphics drivers and make sure to run FFOW as administrator.

2.The game has many flaws first off I havnt noticed any ranking system which is odd for this type of game.

3. The server browser has a terrible GUI no connect to IP or show IP, also if you refresh the list you cant stop it so everything moves around before you can click on it. I also get lots of problems trying to connect to servers.

4.The reason your having trouble aiming is because you have to go prone to get more accuracy. Its like the BF2 days were people online can go from standing to prone in the blink of an eye which is a problem in my opinion.

5.When you join an online game it doesnt feel very co-ordinated i dont no if voip is included but I have yet to hear anyone speak in a 50+ man server.

All in all im regretting my purchase of this game hopefully with a few more patchs it will get better but I highly doubt it.

Ya well the going from standing to prone is a good thing if you need to go prone to aim well, pretty realistic you dont take more than like 1 sec to go prone in real life so why would it take you anymore time in the game? unless your fat or something...

I agree going prone is common in most FPS games, Although it can be implemented better than instant prone. Such as CO4 It is more of a gradual drop to prone not just suddenly at prone position. The problem it can create which was or still is rampant in BF2 is as soon as you encounter someone they drop and shoot. In frontlines I do think the bullet spay from a standing position is too wide anyway the cone of fire should be smaller.

What?? prone is when your lying down so if you had no arms and legs you should be automatically prone right? (unless in a wheelchair) besides what solder has no arms and legs? they are decommissioned if they lose their limbs in combat..

Well I guess it is not totally bad and the drones are cool. But for my $50.00 I would have expected something a little better.
