Check your temps, reinstall FO3, run memtest. In that order. Obviously, if one works you can stop

i doubt its the computer problem, all other games run great, stable, no problem.. its only in fo3 when opening up the vats menu

Is the game fully updated? Also are your graphics drivers fully updated?

FO3 has a lot of crash issues they still have not fixed. You could trying running it in windowed mode, that solved all of my crash problems when I played it.

There is a known issue with the 1.4 patch and vats, the latest patch should correct it, some of the crashes may be due to a memory leak or a rendering error, check your system log.
