EA locking me out?

I just got Battlefield 2 and madden 2006 for the PC, both by EA, and i cant log on for online play in either of them. When i log in with my name and password, it says connecting but just freezez in BF2, and says it cant connect in Madden. I have opened all ports specified in the madden manual, but it seem that i can not connect to the EA servers, even when i go to the website i can not download the madden update, it will just come up and say "starting...." for as long as i leave it. So it seems for some reason i can not connect to Ea, but i haev no more ideas why, i have turned of the windows firewall and opened all ports needed for the game, and i have searched hard and no one else has this problem, does any one know what it could be?

I don't think if they ban ur ip from coming onto their servers, that you wont be able to download an update. Can you play other games fine {ONLINE}?

yea i can play CSS and CoD2 online, i couldnt be banned because they are both brand new accounts.
