Default Dual Core CPU for CRYSIS

My single core OCed 3500+ beats most of the new AM2 Dual Core processors in gaming benchmarks still.

Crysis is going to have little benefit from Dual or Quad Core.

I don't think the 2-3 Korean guys per screen are going to tax CPUs with their advanced AIs. What specifically does the dual core help with in Crysis.

well maybe thats because the benchmarks you are doing dont utilize both cores. hhhmmm did you think of that? I think that they will. With the AI being so advanced and there codes being so complex it will be one of the new games to really start using the advantages of dual core.

most new games will start to utilise more cores especially valve read these articles:

http://arstechnica.com/articles/paed...-multicore.ars
http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2006/...e_Engin/4.html

crysis will most certainly have dual core support so should beat any single core CPU`s. Mainly as AI, Physics and sound could be split between both cores. Compared to a single core CPU which would have to do it all.

ive read that crysis (and games after it) will use the different cores for ai, physics, sound, etc. each aspect of the game on a different thread

Crysis in fact is going to need a Dual-Core CPU to run smooth or "great"
Crysis Requirements

If you think Oblivion is a hungry hungry hippo o wait... I mean a "hungry resource" game wait until Crysis comes into play.
