Default Doom 3 Question

i bought doom 3 and have been playing it on my computer. when i play it, there is a bunch of little black squares that will pop up and it does it all over the screen. also when i play there is always things that will pop up our of the guns and stuff like that. i am using a radeon 9600 with updated drivers and my monitor has the latest drivers. can some one tell me how to fix it.
i ain't even running the game on high settings. i can cut everything down to low and it still does it.

yes, it does sound like an over heating issue..

try to play the game w/ your side panel off....

see if it helps..if it does, then you could try putting a pci fan underneath your vid card, to circulate hot air away from the card.

and having some fans blow out from the back of your case would help circulation as well...

If you can, get more fans installed into you're computer, it usually dosen't cost alot, just about 6-20$ depending on what fan's you buy.
