Default CS: Condition Zero...how to host LAN server???

Me and my brother are trying to hook up and play condition zero on our LAN we have and we can't figure out how to host a server and join it to play.

I kind of got a "dedicated server" hosted it said through Steam, but I couldnt join it and he couldn't even see it, kind of sucks and we can't figure it out. All we know is somehow we had it work a longtime ago.

Anyone have an ysuggestions? Thanks!

if you do a dedicated server that machine cant play, it acts only as a host. im at work and cant think of the other choice for setting up the server but its the other choice so that machine can play and host. ive had trouble seeing servers ive created also how i got around that was to drop down the console and type join 123.123.123:1234 <that being the ip and port of the server you created.

interesting, thanks for the reply!

I may have to do that, so it lets you join the server on same machine you're hosting too? That'd work best, I do have 3 comps here to host on, but one isnt on the network currently =/
