Question Is Crysis a failure or a message?

What do u guys think? I think it failed to mention that we needed Crossfire or SLI to run the game perfectly, plus no advertisements from what ive seen. People were not prepared for the game as we thought we were.

imo, i think Crysis sales will go up later next year when ppl upgrade their systems.........that is if they chose too. I mean, look at it this way, more games, graphic wise, r or will be demanding higher end parts to run the games.

that is what i see from Crysis, but still seems to be a kick *** game!!! I cant wait to try it!

what do u guys think? Ur opinions?

EDIT:

im not saying Crysis is bad, im just saying that Crytek is having a rough start n will catch up is all.

crysis is a game. doubt it was a message of any sort. and if by failure you mean sales from release till now, maybe. They probably havent even covered development costs yet.

failure as a game? no. not to me. because I can run it just fine, maxed out on the highest res my monitor will output, dx10, no lag.
keep in mind its onyl a 17" monitor. lol. But 1280x1024 is what i'm used to playing at since i have been for years, so theres no disappointment there. The game looks retardedly Stunning. I had an absolute blast while playing it. You gotta be a good shot or learn to be a good shot cause later on stuff gets hard to kill XD.

great game, youll probably love it.

it was too **** short though. heh. good games always are i guess but i think i did it in about 7 hours ish and I did a lot of sitting and oogling. lol.

It's an excellent game, just not one of the best games of the year. Complete success in my opinion.

It was released too early..
I have seen many on others forums say they should have waited a year, and continued to work on it during that time.

However, it is still a very fun game.

agreed it was released a bit early. I didnt run into any bugs except 1 minor bug but many people seem to have.

yeah lol the last boss didn't really feel liek a last boss. It was like stopping a movie halfway through. I feel like i'm waiting for the movie to finish ;p

The graphics arn't good enough for the system they require, my god there fantastic, but im sure there 8800Ultra and 40fps fantastic.

Game was a failure, i have the game, never played it, not once. I do however, adore the map editor. I bought the farcry games on the 360 for the map editor, game sucked. But theres something about makeing maps that i enjoy alot.

Maybe in a year we will actually have affordable hardware that can play the first game maxed out.

well then how is that the game looked so good but did so poorly in sales? Because the people buying probably didnt like the game or just not "good" enought hardware to run it.

im actually having second thoughts about getting the actual game n just get the demo just for the map editor.
