when i try to open cs (steam) it says steam updating and nothing is happening i cant seem to play even when i payed for the game... someone plz tell me wats wrong

Try uninstalling, downloading the latest version, then reinstalling.

Alright, i'll be a little more curteous.

What do you mean "nothing happens?" Does the Steam window not show up? I'm assuming this is true. If it is, you need to shut off any and all firewalls and/or spy/mal/adware and virus blockers and scanners. You may need to actually uninstall said programs. Have you installed any new programs between the time you were last using Steam and the first time the error occured? If so, try uninstalling that program.

I had a problem with that too. i ended up spending about 3 MONTHS with a customer support dude, trying to figure out what was wrong! ok, the things i had to do were.....

1. Uninstall CS: condition zero
2. Create an account with steam
3. register my game
4. Install the game again
5. update. (which froze sometimes)
6. when it froze, delete the registry files in counter strike.
