I have it installed; played it a couple of times 4 years ago. Purchased it 2 months ago, but I got bored of it already.

Better play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (it's free).

The only HL2 multiplayer that I know of is the HL: Deathmatch, and the comes with the copy of the game.
