COD4 all models are blacked out? help

Hello

Im trying to run COD4 but all the people look like silouettes, there all just completly blacked out has any one else had this i cant figure it out. i have downloaded all the latest drivers and direct x changed my desktop resolution to 600x800 reinstalled the game. Nothing works please help, heres my system:

Intel E6600
Nvidia 7950gx2
2Gb Corsair
ASUS P5N32 SLI SE DELUXE:

try updating ayour gfx drivers, if that fails then reinstall the game

have fixed it, kinda. I have my computer partioned off with Xp on one side an Vista on the other. Figures are blacked out in Xp but look great in Vista. I just still dont want to make the full move over to Vista but starting to think i might have too.

I have this exact problem and i havent fixed it yet could i have help as well, updating drivers doesnt fix it.

This is a very common issue with the 7 series cards and cod 4 if you look at infinity ward forums etc.....search and get nvidia forcewere 169.04 its a beta driver but it does work i had the same problem like many others .here is a link where its being discussed

I had the 163.75 whql and they didn't work, then i got 169.9 beta and they fixed the blackness but the models were flickering, then i got 169.4 beta which fixed everything but a few trees still appear black.
