Can't play a full game of warcraft on vista Please help

[IBM/PS1]

So my Old OS windows xp died on me and i bought vista. I installed warcraft 3 fine and patched (no errors). The problem is i get fatal errors When i try and play dota. Dota is a custom warcraft 3 map. Since it's not a blizzard map they can't help me so i need help from you fine people

Every dota game i play i randomly get fatal errors at sometime during the course of the game. It's really frustrating because it only happens in dota. I've spoken with the creators of the map and several other sources and they say that my problem is an isolated incident. No one else is having these problems.

Operating System: windows vista home
Router/Modem (Make & Model): D-Link di-524
Anti-virus: AVG free
Firewall: Windows firewall

I've tried running memtest and i get 0 errors in all 8 tests.
I've tried reloading the wc registry
I've Reinstalled and patched over and over again still same problem.

I would really appreciate any help on this as i am out of ideas.

I've tried downloading the map from several sources and reisntalling/repatching the game.

Not to sure on this one, try closing all other apps incase of conflictions, and make sure all permissions for the C drive are accessible by the system, admin and user.
