Is that really the case anymore (at least with Warhead)? Its been a while since I checked but I could swear ATI driver updates made it run pretty good on ATI cards. I know I was able to raise settings a good bit when I went from a 8800gt 512mb to a 4870 512mb.

Yeah. I just got a HIS 4870 1GB and I'm running the game maxed at 1680x1050 and even in the snow maps its completely playable. I'm really blown away by this card.
