Question Best Headphones for Gaming.......?

1) What's the best headphones for gaming under $50?

2) What's the best value headphones ever to hit the market?

3) Is Headphones better then a 60watt Surround Sound Harmon Kardon speakers with a Soundblaster 7.1?

4) I was looking up some sites on headphones and I want to know what does "mw" means?

Thanks!

ok nomatch1..

"mW" = milliwatts
"dB" = decibels

..pretty much tells you the pwr of your headset.

i would go with something like a BOSE or SONY set, i have a set of SONYs that im pretty happy with, now the BOSE would be better as they are noise-cancelling, but they aint under $50

Wether to get headphones or a speaker set really depends on the games you play. FPS games are better with headphones so you can hear things from side to side easier, but for games like WC3 and that genre id go with a speaker set.

i will have to strongly disagree with dethangel on this. BOSE only stands for Buy Other Sound Equipment. for the price they charge, they are utter crap.

sennheiser, beyerdynamic, grado, akg, etc are much better headphones. though they cost more, they're definitely worth it.

i strongly advise against bose anything.

oh wait, but i digress. back to the topic.

get the grado sr-60's or the senn hd 280 pros. (sr-60's are much better for the price, but what it makes up for in value, it loses in comfort)

I was looking at these Zalman Theatre 6 surround sound headphones... They are on sale at my online retailer for 50-some bucks Canadian. I've read a lot of good things about them. They are supposed to sound almost as good as a real surround sound system, packaged in a headphone design.

You need to have a 5 channel (or more) sound card, or have a mobo that has it integrated, to use these.
