i got battlefield vietnam for christmas and for some odd reason i cant run it without it freezing

i have an AMD Athlon 64 3500+, 2GB DDR 400Mhz, and a Sapphire Radeon x700 pro 256mb 16x PCI express

i only had my pc for about a month, the only thing i added was another gig of memory

I spent 40 well deserved canadian dollars on that peice of shiet of a game to find out that it is one of the most innefficient, resource hogging games ever created. It purely sucks balls. I have 512 MB, P4 @ 1.6 Ghz and an 256MB ATI Radeon 9600XT. The minimum requirements are 933 MHz or faster, 256 MB RAM and ATI Radeon 8500 /GeForce 3 or greater, AGP and 64 MB of VRAM... BULLSHIET. I'm sure if I ran it with those specs it wouldn't even work at all. I hate this game. I run Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Quake 4 and F.E.A.R. extremely smoothly on my system, and this peice of crap ancient game is unplayable. The whole Battlefield series sucks balls. 1942 was alright but the rest just sucked. Go fukc yourselves EA. GO AND DIE! I HATE YOU EA!! TAKING ALL THE DAM RIGHTS TO MAKING NFL GAMES AND MAKING THEM SUCK BALLS! WHORING OFF THE SIMS TO THE MASSES. IT'S JUST A STUPID POINTLESS PEICE OF CRAP GAME FOR PEOPLE TO EMULATE A DECENT LIFE WHICH THEY WILL NEVER HAVE!! MAKING THE SHIETTIEST RACING GAMES EVER. NEED FOR SPEED SUCKS, EVERY SINGLE ONE. NFS UNDERGROUND SUCKS BALLS! THE PHYSICS IN YOUR HALF-ASSED NFS SERIES JUST PLAIN SUCKS, YOU FAIL AT MAKING GOOD RACING GAMES! btw i have a radeon 9550 and i run the game at 1024x768 with everything on medium and i am getting 20 fps.

WOW. That was quite a rant you had going there. Very intense.

Some of EAs games are ok. Not all of them, but some of them. I love BF2 so much. 1942 was the game that got me hooked on multiplayer FPS'.

Believe it or not, I ran the game with AMD athlon XP 2000+ with 32 MB agp geforce 2. It ran fine on low and it was ok on medium.

I ran it no problem on a P4. 2.4ghz, 512MB of RAM, and a Radeon 9200 SE. Low settings, low resolution, but it worked

its not just that game though, its almost every game i put in,
the only game i can run is halo, and even that might freeze, and the only way i play hl2 is on the lowest settings with it saying error everywhere i look, and it still has a good chance of freezing up.

i dont know if my video card is bad or something. how can you check if it is?
