Battlefield Heroes Released

Well, with no public announcement, Battlefield Heroes has finally been released for public consumption. Theres not even an announcement on the EA site!

There are now 4 maps, and i still think that the only decent part is then planes :rolleyes:

Anyway, if you want in Battlefield Heroes

Here are the hardware requirements

* Operating system: Windows XP or Windows Vista
* CPU: Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz
* RAM: 512 MB (1Gb on Windows Vista)
* Video Card: 64MB DirectX compliant video card, Pixel shader 2.0 and above. (AGP and PCIe only)
* Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c compatible
* Hard Drive space: 1Gb of space is required to install the game
* Internet connection: 256kbit Cable/DSL connection

Logged in to my EA account. Created a Hero. Updated the application.

Clicked play now, it launches the app and loads the character, I click the arrow and it gives me a message, "Unable to connect 1002".

I tried it several times with the same problem. Anyone have any issues?

Yes, played beta fine, now "can't find suitable servers". Game sucks a bit anyway.

I got it working actually. After the first restart, it then goes through another procedure. And attempts to launch the game. I actually exited my browser again, logged in, relaunched it and it worked. I played for about an hour.

I like the planes. Fun times.

Planes are good, soldiers on the ground with burning bullets can really ruin dogfights though :mad:

today the whole game has been running like crap saying there is a problem with the internet connection and I don't know how you change servers.

Other than that when i started playing it was pretty good. I can't figure out how you get rocket launchers and other things like that i see other people using.

You buy them in the game store using VP, which you earn in game

I'm liking the game. It wouldn't be a bad idea if this was ported to the consoles, but overall its pretty fun.

I really like the game, it can be improved greatly though with a few weapon tweaks, and more abilities to counter the existing ones.

and more abilities on top of that =]
